Supply Characterization
The geography of Argentina include 5 major regions, starting with the rain forest areas of the far-northeast along its border with Brazil; the swampy and flat Chaco plain; the fertile (almost treeless) grasslands of the central Pampas; the lengthy plateau of Patagonia that stretches to Tierra del Fuego, and the Andes Mountains along its western border with Chile.
North West and Chaco’s native forest covers an area of 4.7 million ha. and comprises different Forest Types whose constitution is commonly associated either with a vertical or horizontal structure, namely: low and high, closed and open mountains with a number of specific associations that grow under different ecologic conditions and antropic pressure
